The Golden Rams men ended a 2-game losing streak after defeating the Kentucky State Thorobreds 91-76 in Frankfort, Kentucky. As a team, the Golden Rams shot 45.6% from the field. The Golden Rams also made 24/30 free throws in the game. The Golden Rams pressure defense forced the Thorobreds into committing 22 turnovers.
Malik Parker led the Golden Rams with a season high of 41 points. Jordan Simpson finished with 15 points and 15 rebounds. Maxwell Harris chipped in with 14 points. Kong Kong led the Thorobreds with 15 points.
The Golden Rams women defeated the Kentucky State Thorobreds 63-59 to earn the road win. The Golden Rams shot 40% from the 3-point line for the game. The Golden Rams connected on 8/20 attempts from long distance. The Golden Rams also forced the Thorobreds into 24 turnovers.
The Golden Rams will be back in action on Wednesday, January 12, as they travel to play Central State University in Wilberforce, Ohio.
