Fisk Gymnastics Hires India Anderson as Assistant

NASHVILLE- Fisk University Gymnastics Head Coach Corrinne Tarver announced today the hiring of India Anderson as her recruiting coordinator. Anderson, who comes in from Ursinus (PA.) College will also be the main coach for vault and floor exercise.

“I’m very excited about the hiring of India,” said Tarver. “She has a wealth of knowledge as gymnast and as a coach. We want excellence to be at the forefront of this program and India has shown that. Fisk is blessed to have her.”

Anderson competed in gymnastics at Temple University, where she earned first team All-ECAC honors on the floor during the 2019 campaign. As a senior co-captain, Anderson was named ECAC specialist of the year and was instrumental in leading the Owls to their first ECAC championship in program history. She was also a three-time ECAC Specialist of the Week and qualified for the NCAA Athens Regional on the floor, scoring a 9.825.

A native of Allendale, South Carolina, Anderson boasts international experience, having taken part in the Zelena Jama Open in Slovenia (2010) before competing at the Worthersee Cup in Austria (2013) and the Gym-Festival Trnava in Slovakia.

Anderson graduated from Temple in 2019 with a bachelor’s degree in psychology.
