Florida A&M Returns to Gainesville for NCAA First Round Against Florida

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. | The Florida A&M volleyball team (21-12, 15-1 SWAC) continues postseason play as an automatic qualifier in the NCAA Tournament, and will meet Florida in a first-round matchup scheduled for Friday (Dec. 2).

Gainesville First & Second Rounds
First Round | Friday, Dec. 2
Florida A&M at Florida – 7 p.m.

Second Round | Saturday, Dec. 3
Winner of FAMU/UF vs. Winner of Florida Gulf Coast/Iowa State – 7 p.m.

Ticket Information 
Florida will serve as the site host for the first and second rounds of the 2022 NCAA Division I Volleyball Tournament. General admission tickets will go on sale Monday at 9 a.m. and can be purchased online, at the Gator Ticket Office, or by calling the Gator Ticket Office at 352-375-4683.

The Rattlers qualified for the NCAA event after sweeping competition in the SWAC Tournament. Consecutive straight-set wins over Arkansas-Pine Bluff, Bethune-Cookman, and the top-seeded Alabama State crowned FAMU back-to-back tournament champions.

The team has met UF five times in NCAA tournament play, the most recent occuring a season ago, where it fell 3-0.
