Florida Memorial Ladies Make it 6 straight! Hot streak continues with 79-63 win over Keiser

With 8 straight conference wins, FMU is now 9-1 in Sun Conference play.

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. | Florida Memorial won their sixth straight game, this time with a 79-63 victory over Keiser in Sun Conference play. The win catapults the Lions to 15-5 overall and 9-1 in conference action, and keeps FMU atop of the women’s basketball Sun conference standings as the Lions continue to blaze through conference competition.

FMU led 26-22 after one quarter of play and subsequently outscored Keiser in every quarter behind Aliyah-Deen Ahmad’s double-double, scoring a game-high 23 points and dishing out 10 assists to go along with five rebounds while teammate Chantel Barnett poured in 17 points and hit 4-of-8 three pointers.

As a team, the Lions won the rebound battle 42-34 and generated 13 steals in the contest.

Tianna Ayulo and Quameerah Peterson-Gray both added 11 points apiece in the victory.

The Lions return to action on Saturday, January 28 as they face Warner. Tip-off is set for 2 p.m. in Lakes Wales, Fla.
