HAMPTON, VA- The Hampton University men’s and women’s cross-country programs will compete in four meets before the Pirates’ first CAA Championship appearance this Fall.

“We are looking forward to this year’s cross-country season, especially joining the CAA,” said head coach Joseph Moise. “Last year was a learning experience for everyone, and this summer, everyone has stepped their offseason training up. Our teams have demonstrated their dedication and discipline.”

The Pirates start the season off at the University of Richmond competing in the Spider Alumni meet on September 3.

“I am looking forward to the upcoming cross-country season as an opportunity to build a strong base and become a stronger version of myself,” said sophomore Jordan Mozie.

Two weeks later, the Pirates will be in action at nearby Christoper Newport University for the CNU Invitational on September 16.

On September 24, Hampton will head north to the University of Maryland Eastern Shore in Princess Anne, MD.

“I’m simple excited for the unknown and ready for the run,” said senior Jeremiah Hill.

The final meet of the regular season will be in Greenville, NC, at the East Carolina Pirate Invite on the campus of East Carolina University on October 14.

Hampton will have two weeks off to prepare for the CAA Championship on October 28 in Newark, DE.
