Released by Miles College Sports Information,

Head coach Sam Shade and the Miles football program have completed their 2023 football schedule, one that include four home contests, two games against Division I schools, and road trips to five different states as the Golden Bears look primed to bounce back in Coach Shade’s second season.

Miles opens the season on Sept. 2 with a SIAC tilt at Lane before consecutive Division I road trips to Alabama State (Sept. 9) and Arkansas-Pine Bluff (Sept. 16). The Golden Bears come to Sloan-Alumni Stadium for the first time on Sept. 23 when they host Clark Atlanta. It will be the first matchup between the schools since 2019 and features a current six-game winning streak for Miles. Another road game closes out the month of September when Miles travels to Ohio to battle Central State (Sept. 30).

The Golden Bears open October with a visit from defending SIAC champion Benedict on Oct. 7. The team will alternate home and road dates throughout the month, heading to Atlanta to take on Morehouse on Oct. 14, returning for Homecoming on Oct. 21 to host Allen for the first time, then a final road trip to Albany State on Oct. 28. The final regular season contest comes on Nov. 4 when rival Tuskegee comes to Fairfield.

All home games this season are slated to kickoff at 4 p.m., although times are subject to change. Ticket information will be released at a later date.
