TALLADEGA, AL – On Thursday evening the nation’s fifth-ranked NAIA team defeated Brewton-Parker 73-59 to extend their home winning streak to twenty in a row.  With the win the Talladega College Men’s Basketball team improved to 24-3 and 14-2 in SSAC play.

The Tornadoes trailed 34-33 at halftime before comfortably pulling away in the final ten minutes. Senior Jervay Green led the way with 23 points, while Davion Thomas provided plenty of highlights en route to his 19 point and 6 rebound performance.

“I thought Brewton-Parker did a great job of moving the basketball and competing tonight,” said Head Coach Chris Wright. “We didn’t play with our normal energy or passion, but I’m glad we could find a way to win. We are going to need a lot better performance this weekend.”

The Tornadoes close-out the regular season with two more home games on Saturday and Sunday. With consecutive wins Talladega would clinch the SSAC regular season title.
